Design:
A single storey rear extension with an integrated external structure for shade creates a new indoor/outdoor entertainment space to the rear of the house. New doors connect the existing and new spaces via the framed terrace and a wide timber framed window seat provides a place to sit and connect with the garden throughout the year.
Scope of services:
Concept Design, Planning and Building Regulations.
The initial brief was formed, feasibility options investigated, and planning permission gained. JRA designed and co-ordinated the technical information required for building regulations (full plans) approval (incorporating structural, and thermal calculations by others). JRA also completed a building regulations plus package where additional detailed design information was added to the drawings to aid communication with the contractor at later stages.
